MacFormat celebrates 150th issue

After 11 years as the indispensable resource for all Mac enthusiasts, Future Publishing’s MacFormat is still going strong with a new look and a new editor. The sector-leading magazine for Mac enthusiasts is also celebrating its 150th issue, on sale 18 November 2004.
MacFormat debuted its redesign just three months ago in its August issue, introducing a completely refreshed look and feel more in line with the needs of today’s Mac and iPod owners.
MacFormat has also announced its new editor. Veteran Future editor Graham Barlow takes the chair from Rachel Spooner, who leaves the magazine to head up Future’s new internal communications team. In his eight years with the company, Barlow has worked in a variety of editorial positions, having most recently been editor of Internet and Broadband Advisor.
Graham Barlow, Editor of MacFormat said:
“My aim is to take MacFormat forward, continually improving the content and look of the magazine. We will be keeping up to date with the changing needs of our readers. Mac owners are amongst the most intelligent and discerning of all home computer users and MacFormat will continue to evolve to meet their changing needs.”
MacFormat is also celebrating the news that the magazine has been unveiled as this year’s title sponsor for MacExpo 2004, which takes place from 8 -10 November 2004, at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London. This year’s MacExpo 2004 looks like the being the biggest yet with major industry players including Adobe, Extensis, HP, Microsoft, Quark and Sony exhibiting. MacFormat will also be on hand at the event, offering special subscription deals, as well as offering show-goers the chance to talk with the magazine team about their technical queries and Mac related questions.
