Future Publishing today announces the launch of its latest magazine to hit the newsstands. Hair Style & Beauty magazine goes on sale next month, and marks the company’s first entry into the competitive hair and beauty sector.
With research suggesting that 3,460,000 people in the UK regularly read hair and beauty magazines (1) Future’s new monthly title targets 20 to 40 year-old women who believe appearance is crucial and want to keep up to date with the latest hair styles and fashions, as well as premium brand hair and skin care products and cosmetics.
Becky Skuse – formerly of Origin Publishing’s Your Hair and Hair Ideas will lead the editorial line-up on Hair Style & Beauty magazine which promises to appeal to the modern woman who wants to find their perfect look and recreate salon-standard styles at home. Explaining salon techniques in simple terms with unique step-by-step examples, the magazine will also feature in-depth product tests to encourage more informed purchasing decisions to suit consumers’ individual needs.
Hair Style & Beauty also has celebrity pages, looking at trend-setting icons and offering ideas on how to get aspects of their look. The first issue comes complete with a covermounted ‘Hollywood Hair’ book – sponsored by leading salon chain Toni&Guy.

The launch of Hair Style & Beauty coincides with Future Publishing’s recent acquisition of Spanish Homes Magazine. Both magazines will sit in Future’s Entertainment Group. Hair Style & Beauty magazine launches on September 9th 2004. The launch issue will feature 132 pages, with a cover price of £2.70.
